The agent of Real Mallorca defender Pablo Maffeo admits he'd jump at the chance to play for Argentina.

The Spaniard qualifies for Argentina and is interesting their coach Lionel Scaloni.

Maffeo's agent Jordi Capilla told Marca: "He has the possibility of going to three countries because his mother is Argentine, his father is Italian and he was born in Barcelona, few players can have so many possibilities,.

"It is his mother's country and everything that comes with playing for that national team. When this possibility came to him he did not hesitate, it was clear to him.

"The missing issue is matters of nationality, birth documents. I want to be cautious because I know how the bureaucracy works. We trust that it will be resolved before the next call."

He added, "Scaloni asked him if he would like to represent Argentina and Pablo told him that he would go by boat if necessary, or by swimming. He was quite surprised, he has tremendous enthusiasm."
