The agent of Yerry Mina says he could stay with Cagliari next season.

The former Everton defender is off contract this summer.

His agent, Simone Rondanini, told TMW: "He feels good in Cagliari and he is a leader, in all respects. Cagliari needed this personality and coach Ranieri is one of the greatest in the world, he knows what he chooses.

"He arrived in Cagliari and the coach immediately gave him the chance to be a starter, the first matches were difficult but then he adapted to the team and the team adapted to him.

"He's really happy with this adventure, he talks about Ranieri as one of the best coaches he's ever had. The squad, the people, are all close to him, there's always an air of sunshine and of the sea and for a South American it is not an aspect to be underestimated. Now he just hopes to reach his goal: the salvation of Cagliari.

"Cagliari has the possibility of exercising an option to trigger the contract for next season too. Some calls have arrived, I won't deny it, let's see what emerges from the market. But I repeat: now the most important thing is the safety of Cagliari. And he feels great in Cagliari."
