Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Bournemouth defender Ilya Zabarnyi.

According to a report from Football London, the North London outfit have been interested in the 21-year-old Ukrainian defender for a while, and Alasdair Gold believes that Tottenham remain keen on signing him.

Zabarnyi joined Bournemouth in January 2023 and he has established himself as a key player for them. The Ukrainian has impressed with his defensive performances in the Premier League and he could prove to be a quality, long-term acquisition for Tottenham.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has recently admitted that the club needs to bring in another central defender in the summer and the 21-year-old could be the ideal fit. He is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make it immediate impact at Tottenham.

Bournemouth are currently 13th in the league table and the opportunity to move to Tottenham will be an exciting step up for him.

Ilya Zabarnyi will be tempted to join Tottenham

Zabarnyi is likely to be attracted to joining the North London outfit, especially if they secure Champions League qualification. Tottenham could provide him with the platform to compete in Europe and fight for trophies.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham secure an agreement with the Cherries for the talented defender. He has a long-term contract with them and they are unlikely to let him leave for a reasonable price. Spurs might have to pay a premium in order to sign the player.
