Paris Saint-Germain suffered a disappointing 3-2 first-leg loss to FC Barcelona last week. The Parisians must perform well on the road to overturn the situation and advance to the semifinal. As a result, manager Luis Enrique spoke about the team’s mindset.

Enrique contributed to the sluggish contest by choosing the starting 11 he did, leaving Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola on the bench. The defense will need to perform better, as there were moments when they struggled.

Nonetheless, the Spanish boss wants to focus on changing the chip within the squad’s mentality. Enrique probably wants the group to forget about their performance and know they can advance despite facing a daunting challenge.

“Without a doubt, it’s all in the mind,” Enrique told PSG TV (h/t Paris Fans). “When you’re not used to losing, it really stings. The first two days were tough for everyone. But we’ve been able to analyze and prepare for the comeback. I saw the team looking sharp in training, and I’m convinced we’ll be ready to win.”

It will be interesting to see if Enrique’s different approach to this contest tilts the matchup in PSG’s favor, allowing them to advance. If the Parisians crash out in the quarterfinals, it will be disappointing, considering the route they have to the final.
