Almeria coach Gaizka Garitano was pleased with their 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid.

Luka Romero, on-loan from Lazio, scored twice for Almeria, with Atletico netting through Angel Correa and Rodrigo de Paul.

Garitano, on Romero, said: "He is a very young boy, who is sure to give us something.

"We are going little by little, he hasn't played for a long time and he is adapting very well, he has trained very well since he has been here and today he gave us helped. He played very well."

The coach also said: "The team's performance has been increasing lately, but that victory did not come. Today we played against one of the best teams in Europe and we competed well.

"Logically we are not happy because the victory did not come and that is what we wanted do, but we had a high-level team in front of us and the team competed for the 90 minutes as you have seen.

"We have to continue in that line, we are not an easy team to beat, we have been close to winning against any team in the league for a long time. League. We have improved a lot and we have to continue that improvement to win games."
