Several issues have emerged this season, and fingers have been pointed in every direction. Today, a report has revealed the Rossoner’s issues with balance that could be attributed to AC Milan’s hit-and-miss season.

There are several questions about why Milan failed to achieve targets this season, ranging from defensive injuries, tactical issues and player underperformance. However, MilanNews have identified a statistical issue that the Rossoneri must alter soon to build on this season.

The report states that the Diavolo have been fantastic going forward this season, scoring two or more goals in 28 of their 45 matches. There is, however, a setback to this positive, though. This is the fact that in 14 games, they have conceded two or more goals – a record worse than Inter (7/48), Juventus (4/48) and AS Roma (10/48).

The latter of this list is especially concerning, given that Milan must score two goals on Thursday night, without conceding, to win the match in regular time, which would be appreciated considering they face Inter in a game where the Nerazzurri can win the Scudetto, a daunting prospect in itself, just four days later.

This stat can be attributed to the Rossoneri’s heavily attack-focused style of play, the attacking mind of the midfield, and Theo Hernandez’s ability to attack well. However, these are things that need to be accounted for tactically, and Milan and Stefano Pioli must look to stop this trend as soon as possible.
