Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been nominated for February’s Premier League Save of the Month award.

The Cameroon international has been showing better form since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations and he kept another impressive clean sheet in last night’s 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fifth round.

Onana is up for February’s Save of the Month award following a close range stop in United’s 3-0 win over West Ham at Old Trafford.

Tomas Soucek’s header took a deflection before Onana stretched to his left to keep the ball out.

After a turbulent start to life at United, it’s reassuring to see Onana win an individual award but he needs to finish the season strongly in order to avoid more criticism.

Six saves by six goalkeepers have been nominated by February’s Save of the Month award.

Save of the Month contenders for February

  • Josa Sa vs Manchester United
  • Guglielmo Vicario vs Everton
  • Emiliano Martinez vs Sheffield United
  • Andre Onana vs West Ham
  • Mark Flekken vs Wolves
  • Alphonse Areola vs Arsenal
