The Angel City Football Club re-signed defender Megan Reid to a contract running through the 2025 season.

Reid joined ACFC ahead of the club's inaugural season in 2022, and has accumulated 2,774 minutes across 31 total matches. The former University of Virginia star recorded nine tackles in 15 matches last season while dealing with an injury.

"I'm excited to continue my career with ACFC. I'm looking forward to another great season," Reid said. "I can't wait to be in front of the best fans in the league and get started with an amazing group of women. Let's get after it!"

Reid joined ACFC after first working as a firefighter and EMT after college and returning to soccer with Lamorinda United of the Women's Premier Soccer League.

"We're happy to have Megan back with us as another force to anchor our back line," ACFC general manager Angela Hucles Mangano said. "She provides depth in addition to a level of experience after Angel City's first season as an Iron Woman."
