Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to sell Emerson Royal at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old Brazilian defender has had a torrid time at the London club, and he has not been able to impress with his performances.

The former Barcelona defender has looked vulnerable at the back and he has been largely underwhelming going forward.

Despite starting 11 of the 14 league games so far, Royal has been criticised heavily by the media and fans.

It will be interesting to see if Conte can bring in a quality right back in the upcoming windows.

A report from Corriere Dello Sport (h/t HITC) claims that Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is not a fan of Emerson and he is looking to cash in on the players=.

It is imperative that Spurs look to bring in a quality fullback during the January transfer window. They are already lacking in depth at the back and they cannot afford to weaken the squad further if they want to finish in the Champions League positions and compete for a trophy.

Tottenham signed Djed Spence from Middlesbrough during the summer transfer window but the youngster has not been able to cement a regular starting spot in the side.

The 22-year-old is expected to go out on loan when the transfer window opens in January so that he can get regular first-team action.
