Many assumed that Paris Saint-Germain would have Xavi Simons as part of their squad next season to build a team in the post-Kylian Mbappé era. However, the player might not want to be part of the club for the foreseeable future.

In recent weeks, there’s been talk about what lies ahead for the 21-year-old. He’s been rumored to be on the radar of clubs like Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea. As the summer transfer window draws near, speculation grows about whether one of these clubs could make PSG an irresistible offer.

Simons has been making waves in the Bundesliga, impressing with 42 appearances in all competitions. With nine goals and 15 assists to his name, it’s no wonder other top European clubs are eager to see if they can lure him away and they might just get their chance.

Fabrice Hawkins from RMC Sport reports that Simons will not return to PSG this summer, as the player lacks motivation to continue in the French capital.

Therefore, RB Leipzig and PSG are in negotiations for a final transfer, exploring the possibility of him staying in the Bundesliga, while Premier League clubs are also in the mix.

The Dutchman is under contract until 2027, so it will be interesting to see how this new saga ends. Nonetheless, this is a major development, considering Simons is viewed as a key player for PSG.
