Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is adamant their Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich won't derail their Premier League push.

It was a second defeat in days for the Gunners, which also surrendered the Premier League leadership this week.

Arteta said last night: "I wish I had the right words today to make the players feel better. What me and all the coaching staff are going to do is be close to the players. I feel so grateful to be their coach and work with them every day. What we need to do is stand right next to them, give them our support and our love. We have to pick it up because we have a big, big game on Saturday.

"We're still playing for the Premier League and we really want it and we have to show that we're capable of turning it around.

"It's not going to go away certainly tonight but I can guarantee you by tomorrow we're fully focused on Wolves and everybody is lifted. What we still have to play for is beautiful. I said before it's time to be next to this players. It's easy to be behind them and praise the players and talk nice things when we win 10 in a row and one draw. The moment is now to be behind them and be next to them."
