Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he was happy with Gabriel Jesus after their win at Brighton.

The striker drew another blank in the 3-0 win.

But Arteta says: "I was really happy.

"With the task he had, especially with the way they attack down the sides we saw the opportunity for him to score in certain moments. He had a couple of chances there that he could have converted.

"But his contribution, the individual action that he does for the first goal to win that penalty tells you that we are getting him back. He's fitter as well and he can have a huge impact on us."

On Ben White's performance, he added: "Credit to him because he's always willing to learn, to train, to play in any circumstances - whether he's feeling good or not. He's open minded and he has the desire to win. That's what makes a difference."
