Arsenal climb higher in Premier League table with last-minute goal vs. Wolves

Arsenal only needed a draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers to climb into fifth in the Premier League table, but the club got even more with a pair of late goals to win, 2-1.

The first goal for Arsenal tied the score in the 82nd minute when Nicolas Pépé controlled a pass inside the box, spun, and fired a shot into the back of the net. Less than 15 minutes later, Arsenal completed the comeback with a goal from Alexandre Lacazette in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

The pair of goals pushed Arsenal three points ahead of West Ham United for fifth place on the table, but maybe even more importantly, it put Arsenal right on the heels of Chelsea and Manchester United. Due to postponements, Arsenal has played two fewer matches than Manchester United, putting the former in great position to eventually vault the latter and take over fourth place.

The win was Arsenal's third consecutive victory and seventh in nine matches. Up next is a road game against Watford on March 6.
