According to latest reports, Manchester United’s Premier League rivals Arsenal are more likely to sign transfer target Pedro Neto from Wolves this summer.

One of the Premier League’s star players this season, Neto has been linked to both the Red Devils and the Gunners on a regular basis in recent years.

The Portuguese player has done well for Wolves this season despite his injury struggles. In his 19 Premier League games thus far this season, he has two goals and nine assists.

Several Premier League teams are anticipated to pursue Neto in the upcoming transfer window, but Wolves have the right to demand a substantial payment because the valued player is still bound to Wolves till 2027.

“Arsenal or arch-rivals Tottenham are more likely to lure him away from Wolves than United,” journalist Ben Jacobs has told GiveMeSport.

However, Jacobs has informed interested clubs, including Arsenal, that Wolves “will be looking for a club-record sale” this summer.

“I think that Arsenal and Spurs are more likely destinations for Neto, at this point. We know the Tottenham interest is historical, and I would expect Arsenal to consider Neto this summer as one of a few targets in that position,” Jones told GiveMeSport.

“But both of the north London clubs will also be well aware that Wolves – because he is still well contracted – will be looking for a club-record sale.

“They will be very firm on price. You can understand why, in an inflated market, where many attackers and midfielders have gone for in excess of £70million.”

Man United are looking to sign a right-winger in the summer transfer window to replace under-fire Antony.

That right-wing spot for United has been occupied by Alejandro Garnacho for quite some time but the youngster needs rest and United need a quality player they could use in rotation.

Neto is the ideal choice due to his ability to take on players, deliver assists and impressive pace, but Arsenal stand in the way of United to sign the Portuguese winger.
