Midfielder Arturo Vidal has given a reassuring update about the fitness of Inter Milan forward Alexis Sanchez.

Speaking from the Chilean national team camp, via FCInterNews, the 36-year-old said that the Nerazzurri forward is ready to train and is hungry and motivated.

Sanchez is currently away on international duty with the Chilean national team.

The 34-year-old only joined Inter a couple of weeks ago, just before the end of the summer transfer window.

Sanchez has yet to make an appearance for the Nerazzurri. The Chilean has not been carrying any specific injury. However, he has lacked match-fitness given the lack of a full preseason.

Then, during international duty for Sanchez, it has emerged that the former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona forwad has an issue with low hemoglobin.

Reportedly, Sanchez is suffering with mild anemia.

However, the Nerazzurri were reportedly in fact aware of this fact.

Inter have a plan to keep Sanchez’s fitness at the required level.

Arturo Vidal Gives Update On Alexis Sanchez Fitness

Inter will be hoping that Sanchez can return from international duty having built up some match-fitness.

With the club season returning with a packed fixture list, the Nerazzurri will need as much of their full squad to call upon in terms of rotation. And Sanchez is one of the four senior forwards at Inter coach Simone Inzaghi’s disposal.

For his part, Vidal expects that Sanchez will return in good condition.

The Chilean former Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Juventus midfielder spent two seasons at Inter with Sanchez.

“Alexis he’s doing well,” the midfielder said.

“He looks very motivated to me. He’s ready for Tuesday.”

Chile face Colombia in a World Cup qualifier tomorrow evening, and Sanchez could be available for it.

Vidal said of the Inter forward that “He’s available.”

“He’s training with us and he’s in good shape. Then the coach will make his decisions.”
