Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams says their Copa del Rey quarterfinal win against Barcelona was a dream come true.

Barca lost 4-2 as Athletic's Inaki and Nico Williams both struck in extra-time. Inaki flew in from AFCON in Ivory Coast on the morning.

"Not even in the best of dreams," he smiled afterwards. "Everything has turned out perfect. Yesterday I did not imagine being able to be here. I thank Athletic for making it possible and the fans for waiting for me with open arms.

"It seems that it was written to arrive today and end like this. No It has been easy, but we are fair winners."

He also said: "Everything happened very quickly. I didn't even have time to rest, but I was very excited to cheer on my teammates. I wanted to support them even without playing. Nights like this are what we all want. We have all the hope in the world to reach the final.

"All those who are alive are good teams and you have to respect all your rivals."
