Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was delighted with two-goal Marcos Llorente after victory over Las Palmas.

Midfielder Llorente played as centre-forward as Atletico won 5-0. Angel Correa also scored twice.

Simeone said: "I see the players every day and I have more information than you have. ngel came with bronchitis and trained. I saw the desire to play and Marcos, we have already put him there in some games, a year and a half ago, he has many tools.

"In one of the conferences I said that I needed to put him as a forward and it makes me happy for both of us. I know that Marcos likes to play closer to the goal."

He added: "The good thing is to have goal chances, we play with good pressure in the rival field, against a rival that is one of the least scored in the league, they are doing very well, but we are betting on the pressure of Llorente, Koke, Sal, Correa. .. everything generated one more step."
