Atletico Madrid defender Cesar Azpilicueta insists they're capable of reaching the Champions League final.

Atletico meet Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals.

Azpilicueta told AS: "It is true that now comes the part where the season is decided. If you do not prepare from the beginning of the campaign to arrive in these conditions, you cannot be as we are and now we do it here, which is what every soccer player wants, to be fighting and hopefully everything turns out well.

"Talking is easy and you have to demonstrate it. I see the team with a lot of strength, with a lot of confidence, but we have to show it in every game, we have to show that we deserve to fight for this Champions League and to finish as high as possible in LaLiga.

"I feel that enthusiasm is noticeable in the club, that is noticeable in the fans, we must give value to being among the eight best in Europe. We are on the verge of a Cup final, which we were also very excited to play in, and now is when I think we have to be as efficient as possible.

"We know that there are consecutive games coming up, in each game we are going to need the entire team. In the end, training, demonstrating that ambition and that enthusiasm every day is important and it is palpable in the people that we all have a lot of enthusiasm. I hope everything turns out the way we want."
