Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente appreciates the influence of coach Diego Simeone on his career.

Llorente admits the Argentine has had a big impact on his football.

He said, "Well, it is very important. He was the one who bet on me to play higher up. He saw me, he told me, he sat me down in his office and told me that I see you playing a little higher up, reaching the area a little more.

"I told him, mister, where do you tell me? Then at the end, he tried me upstairs, I played several games and everything went well. I think it is the position in which I can help the team the most and I feel most comfortable."

On his future, Llorente also said: "I have always said it, in the end football can take many turns. It is already clear that each market is amazing, but I always say that I am very happy here, I am with my family, with my friends nearby. A great club, great teammates who fight for their goals every year and achieve them for many years.

"Temptations come out everywhere, that's football. But when you are comfortable in a club, you are happy and you are enjoying football. The offer elsewhere has to be the bomb for you to leave here."
