This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain will welcome FC Barcelona to the Parc des Princes for the opening leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal showdown.

While the match is still a few days away, information on who could be in Barcelona’s starting 11 is trickling out. On Sunday, a report revealed that the Catalan side is prepared to make a surprising insertion into its starting lineup.

According to MARCA , starting Vitor Roque against PSG is a possibility that Xavi Hernández is considering. The 19-year-old Brazilian has interesting characteristics and is good defensively.

The reported decision to go with the young forward follows the outlook for Pedri, which isn’t so good. The report notes that Pedri didn’t complete the training, doing little more than half, whereas de Jong not only finished the session but did so with good sensations.

It will be interesting to see whether this potential decision pays off for Xavi or whether Roque shows his age in the first crucial matchup.
