FC Barcelona defender João Cancelo is one of the villains for the Catalan side, who melted down after taking a 1-0 lead in the game and 4-2 on aggregate. After that high moment for the team, it all came crashing down.

Cancelo had a hand in the first PSG goal as the player paid little attention to where Ousmane Dembélé was on the pitch. The Frenchman made a run into the box to finish off the cross from Bradley Barcola.

Afterward, in the second half, Cancelo fouled the Frenchman inside the box and the capital club had a chance to take the lead. Kylian Mbappé scored the penalty kick to give PSG a 3-1 lead in the match and a 5-4 lead on aggregate.

Once PSG eliminated Barcelona, Relevo’s Albert Blaya Sensat slammed the player for his performance as the Spanish team melted down after the red card to Ronald Araújo.

“Cancelo was responsible for PSG’s first goal, and made one of the most absurd fouls to cause a penalty that can be made,” Sensat said. “Impossible to compete with so little concentration.”

PSG are now off to the Champions League semifinal, where they’ll face Borussia Dortmund, whom they’ve already encountered in the group stage this season.
