Barcelona continue to monitor Bernardo Silva’s situation ahead of a possible summer move. The Portuguese is not considered to be a priority signing, but a deal with Manchester City could be pursued if enough money is generated from player sales.

It won’t be easy for Barcelona to get a deal over the line, even though Bernardo prefers to join them over any other club. Competition for his signature is rising nonetheless, as it’s now been reported by Barca Reservat (via Sport) that Bayern Munich have contacted the 29-year-old’s representatives in recent days.

Bayern join Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona in showing interest in Bernardo, who has a release clause in the region of €50m, which Man City are not expected to budge on over the coming weeks and months.

It remains to be seen whether Barcelona make their move for Bernardo. For now, they are prioritising a new defensive midfielder and left winger, so any decision on the Man City playmaker has been shelved for the time being.
