Barcelona fullback Hector Fort is delighted with his senior chance.

The 17 year-old has broken into the senior team in recent weeks under coach Xavi.

"I have been a cul all my life and playing in front of the fans made me very excited," he confessed to the club's media, explaining that, "I feel a lot of pride, a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of happiness because I have spent many years working and working every day to reach where I am.

"I will continue working so that opportunities continue to arrive."

Although he is a right back, with Xavi he has been playing on the left, as he did against Villarreal due to Alejandro Balde's injury.

"I am very grateful to Xavi for the opportunities. We young people are prepared and we try to show it," he added.
