Barcelona are reportedly preparing a summer transfer window move for Ruben Neves, but Wolves want £45million for the Portuguese midfielder.

Neves has shone in his time in the Premier League and could be a good fit for Barcelona, who are said to be preparing to make their move for him after admiring him for the last couple of years, according to the Telegraph.

The report makes it clear that Wolves won’t let Neves go cheapy, however, with £45m likely to be their asking price, and it remains to be seen if Barca can manage that given their current issues with Financial Fair Play.

Neves has also been linked with Liverpool in recent times by CaughtOffside columnist Ben Jacobs, and the Reds could surely do well to pay that price for such a top player who’s proven in the Premier League.

Liverpool need to make changes in the middle of the park this summer after a disappointing season which could still see them miss out on a place in the top four.

The likes of Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara look past their best, and Neves could be ideal to replace the latter of those two in particular, due to the similarity in playing style.
