Barcelona president Joan Laporta rewarded the players for last night's win at PSG with hamburgers!

Barca took control of their Champions League quarterfinal with a 3-2 first-leg win in Paris.

The president's restrained reaction after the victory in Paris was quite surprising amongst staff, which, although it does not yet guarantee a place in the semifinals, does leave the doors wide open.

Laporta congratulated the players one by one after the 'machada' in the Parc des Princes, but without the effusiveness of other occasions.

He was strangely calm," they acknowledged in the locker room.

During the trip he also did not lavishly display his joy and satisfaction at the victory: there were no speeches or harangues to the squad, nor any toasts and not even any promise of a prize if they eliminated PSG.

Of course, Laporta did have the feeling that the players deserved a hamburger as a reward for their effort and he did not stop until he found a chain of hamburger restaurants in Paris to purchase the squad a bagful of beef burgers.
