Savinho has declared he wants to play for Manchester City in the future.

The Girona winger is being tracked by Barcelona and Real Madrid after a superb start to the season. But he insists his future plans include City.

Savinho is on-loan at Girona from Troyes, with both clubs owned by Manchester City's umbrella company, City Football Group.

Asked if he had other offers when leaving Atletico Mineiro for Troyes, Savinho told Marca: "Yes. Arsenal wanted me and also the Brazilian Bragantino.

"I knew that Troyes was in the City group and I thought that by working I could one day reach Manchester City. Of course, I will have to do very well here in Girona."

Savinho played with Diego Costa and Diego Godin at Atletico Mineiro.

He added: "They are two top players. When I signed for City, Godn told me that it was a very good place for me. Diego Costa always said that he had a lot of talent and he gave me morale.

"It turns out that he played with Mchel at Rayo Vallecano. For me he is one of the best centre forwards I have ever played with."
