Bastian Schweinsteiger is impressed with Manchester United’s appointment of Erik ten Hag as manager.

The former Manchester United has seen the Dutchman in action when in charge of his younger brother at Bayern Munich.

Ten Hag was announced as the new permanent manager at Old Trafford this week and he will replace Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season. Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, the incoming manager is trying to win a third Eredivisie title at Ajax.

It will be a huge step up for Ten Hag, with a rebuilding of the squad expected to begin this summer as the club looks to improve matters on the pitch at least.
