Bayern Munich have been linked with wanting to sign another Chelsea forward, after the Callum Hudson-Odoi saga last summer.

This summer, it is Kai Havertz who they looked at trying to sign, but of course, Chelsea were not going to entertain that this window. Next summer though, could well be a different story.

According to Sport1 in Germany, Bayern’s Hasan Salihamidžić had enquired to the ROOF agency about the situation of Kai Havertz at the beginning of the summer.

Havertz was discussed as a potential Robert Lewandowski replacement. Things obviously didn’t transpire this summer but the report says that Bayern may well revisit it next summer.

To be honest it feels now a little like it is make or break for Havertz in a Chelsea shirt this season. He either does the business now or I can see a move being sanctioned next season. Although if he doesn’t have a good season, will Bayern even still want him? Maybe not.
