Chelsea left back Ben Chilwell has had a pretty rough summer and opening start to the Premier League season.

First of all he went to the Euros with England but he wasn’t used by Gareth Southgate which would have provided a massive dent to his confidence.

Then he barely played at all for Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea in the new Premier League season having to make do with backing up Marcos Alonso, who was Tuchel’s preferred option for regular starter.

Chilwell did play the last game against Southampton and scored a lovely goal.

It looks like that did him wonders as he got the nod for England finally last night as they beat Andorra 5-0. Chilwell scored the opening goal and had a very good game, even getting rated the third best player on the pitch for England by The BBC with a 7.17 rating.

This will go far in helping him win back his regular starting Chelsea spot competing again now with Alonso.
