Udinese will have to contend their next Serie A fixture against Inter in the absence of the main striker Lorenzo Lucca.

The Zebrette will host the Nerazzurri at the Bluenergy Stadium in Friuli on Monday evening. This will be the final fixture of the 31st round of Serie A.

Simone Inzaghi’s men will be looking to collect another routine that puts them even closer to clinching their 20th Scudetto title. Inter will certainly be the favorites to emerge victorious at the expense of their hosts based on odds provided by new sports betting websites.

The Beneamata have been almost perfect in their league outings since the turn of the year. They have thus far won all of their Serie A fixtures in 2024, with the exception of a 1-1 draw against Napoli just over a fortnight ago.

Inter sit on top of the league table, 14 points ahead of their closest chasers AC Milan. The thought of clinching the Scudetto in the Derby della Madonnina on April 22nd is certainly tempting. But first, the Serie A leaders must overcome Udinese.

Udinese Lose Main striker Lorenzo Lucca For Inter Milan Clash

For their part, Gabriele Cioffi’s men are fighting to remain afloat. They currently sit 14th in the table with 28 points. They are only four points above the relegation zone, so they remain involved in the scrap for survival.

Unfortunately for the Zebrette, they will have to do without the services of their key striker next Monday, explains FcInter1908.

Lucca earned his fifth yellow card of the season in his side’s 1-1 draw against in Sassuolo on Monday. Therefore, he will be serving a one-match when the Zebrett host Inter next week.

Since the start of the season, the Italian has cemented himself as a pillar for the Friulians. The gigantic forward often uses his frame to either nod the ball home, or bring it down for a teammate.

The 23-year-old has thus far contributed with eight goals and three assists in 32 appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia this season

Lucca’s exploits this term even earned a call-up from the Italian national team last month. However, Luciano Spalletti has yet to give him his international debut.

The striker is currently on loan at Udinese who have the option to buy him from Pisa at the end of the season.

The young bomber also had past experiences at Torino, Palermo and most recently Ajax.
