Manchester United are already out of the Champions League race this season but the Reds could still have a say in this year’s title race, with Erik ten Hag’s men preparing for the visit of Arsenal on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s men are taking Manchester City to the wire in the race to lift the Premier League this year and a win at Old Trafford would see them take top spot ahead of next week’s season finale. Manchester City will, however, have one game in hand on the London club.

This fixture last season made headlines for a number of reasons when Antony scored the opening goal on his debut and Marcus Rashford kickstarted his 30-goal season with a dazzling display.

Bukayo Saka was also on the scoresheet that day and speaking ahead of the latest trip to Manchester, the England international has made an interesting admission, naming Old Trafford as his favourite Premier League stadium to play in.

“Growing up watching football, because I love football, I’ve been watching football for years,” he told Sky Sports, via The Mirror.

“The special nights you’ve seen in the Premier League and in the Champions League at Old Trafford. It was nice to be on the pitch and to play.

“I’ve played there a few times now and it’s definitely my favourite stadium to play in.”

United could still secure passage into next season’s Europe League through their league finish but with Chelsea and Newcastle United both finding some form, Ten Hag’s men need to start picking up some points.

The latest disappointment, a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Crystal Palace, was a new low in an already disastrous season.
