AC Milan will take on Hellas Verona tomorrow afternoon and during today’s training session, Davide Calabria and Mike Maignan will be assessed. Although there is optimism, their presence cannot be guaranteed.

Calabria and Maignan were both subbed off in the mid-week clash against Slavia Praha after a couple of heavy challenges. The one on Calabria resulted in a red card for the Czech side, with the captain screaming in pain.

According to Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, both of them will be tested during the training session this afternoon. Based on that, Stefano Pioli will decide whether to call them up for the game or not, though the replacements are already lined up.

Marco Sportiello replaced the Frenchman between the sticks against Slavia Praha and Pierre Kalulu took Calabria’s spot. However, with Alessandro Florenzi back from suspension, the veteran is in pole position to replace the captain if he cannot make it.

Since there will be an international break next week, Pioli will most likely field the strongest team possible tomorrow to build on the recent form. Having reclaimed second place last week, they won’t want to lose it immediately and a win will most likely be needed to avoid that.
