The Derby della Madonnina is always a lively fixture, and given the possibility of Inter winning the Scudetto at San Siro, AC Milan will be doing everything to prevent this from occurring. Today, Hakan Calhanoglu spoke about the possibility of winning the Scudetto in the fixture.

As the season lies, following last night’s defeat to AS Roma, Milan have two games that will be the decider for Stefano Pioli’s future and the season as a whole: those being the second leg against Roma and the game against the Nerazzurri.

The past months have highlighted the significance of April, which has only grown, given the success that the Rossoneri have enjoyed in Europe. With that being said, though, whilst the reward is high, the risk is there for all to see, and with a loss in the first leg, pressure is piled onto the games against Roma and Inter, considering what is at stake in both.

Calhanoglu spoke to CBS Sport about the possibility of Inter winning the Scudetto at San Siro and discussed the Diavolo’s celebrations in 2022. His words have been relayed by Calciomercato.com.

How would it feel to win the Scudetto against Milan?

“It would be crazy to win the Scudetto in the derby, but what I hope is that it will be a beautiful and correct match, with celebrations carried out in a calm manner. Because I still remember how Milan celebrated in the past so I want to stay very calm, it will be a very tough game.”
