Wingback Tajon Buchanan should get the chance to shine for Inter Milan against Napoli in this evening’s Serie A clash.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Buchanan has now been an Inter player for more than two months.

The 25-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Club Brugge early on during the January transfer window.

However, so far Buchanan has played a grand total of just 27 minutes for Inter.

The Canadian international has gotten two substitute appearances. He played a cameo role during the second halves of wins over Salernitana and Lecce.

In both of those matches, Inter were already in a commanding position when Buchanan came on.

To date, the 25-year-old has not been entrusted with minutes where he can really influence results.

But that should start to change soon. Buchanan has now had a number of weeks to settle in and prove himself to Inter coach Simone Inzaghi in training.

And the coach is ready to start handing real opportunities to the Canadian.

Tajon Buchanan To Get His Chance For Inter Vs Napoli

According to Tuttosport, there is even a chance that Buchanan could start for Inter against Napoli.

Inter coach Inzaghi will be aiming for a reaction to Wednesday’s Champions League elimination against Atletico Madrid.

And the coach could decide to shake things up in a significant way by handing a start to Buchanan.

The Canadian was tested in training yesterday ahead of this evening’s match.

More likely, though, would be for Buchanan to come on as a substitute.

But it will not just be a cameo appearance for the 25-year-old.

Instead, Buchanan is likely to get a much more meaningful amount of playing time.

It is finally time for Buchanan to start showing what he can do as a difference-maker in this Inter team.
