Fabio Cannavaro has advocated that Italian teams eye the son of Serie A icon Lilian Thuram and brother of Inter striker Marcus Thuram, Khéphren Thuram, who currently plies his trade with OGC Nice in Ligue 1. Juventus are said to be interested in Khephren, and Cannavaro has no doubts about the midfielder’s quality.

Speaking at a forum to Calciomercato, Cannvaro highlighted how he never doubted Lilian Thuram’s sons would grow up to be world-class footballers.

“Khéphren Thuram can play in any Italian team, if I were a Serie A club, I would take him immediately. He would be useful for everyone.”

Cannavaro also shared his thoughts on Marcus, who he compared to a young Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“I have always followed Lilian’s children, I was sure they would become footballers. Marcus seems a bit like Ibra in his first years at Juve, in Italy he can grow up mean, but his father says Khéphren is meaner.”

Khéphren has eyes from across Europe on him, with Liverpool also reportedly interested in securing his services.

However, it will not be surprising to see the Bianconeri make a move for the Nice star, especially after the scandals surrounding Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli. Inter are also said to be keeping close tabs, especially with the influence of Marcus in the team.
