Fabio Capello feels Juventus should sign Manchester United-owned winger Mason Greenwood and three more players to close the gap with Inter and be in the title race next season.
Former Italian coach Capello tells Juventus, one of his former clubs, to sign Greenwood from Manchester United and three other players in order to become title contenders again in 2024-25.
Capello feels that Juventus director Giuntoli must target young and cheap players given that the Bianconeri won’t have the same budget as top European clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG, and Premier League giants.
“Juventus will need at least four quality signings to rival Inter in the title race next season,” the former Old Lady’s boss told Gazzetta.
“The Nerazzurri have 20 points more than the Bianconeri, and they have already made progress by signing Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski.
“Juventus need quality in the middle to get closer to Inter,” continued Capello.
“Juventus would need one of Inzaghi’s midfielders. There is a lot of noise around Koopmeiners and he’d be a good reinforcement, but he would not be enough, especially if Rabiot leaves. From the outside, I have the feeling that before deciding whether to extend, the Frenchman wants to understand whether Juventus want to build a team to win.
“Juventus already have a great talent. I like Yildiz, he has proved to have the personality required in a top club.”
Capello noted that Real Madrid signed the best young players around the world, “but invested €50m, €80m or even €100m,” and the Bianconeri must adopt a different strategy.

“I’ve heard about Greenwood. A Manchester United talent who has been affected by personal issues, but seems reborn at Getafe. There are no doubts about his qualities,” said the 77-year-old.
“Calafiori looks interesting as well, but I am accustomed to seeing a Juventus that keeps their best players. I would not sell Bremer, Chiesa or Vlahovic. I would only add quality players. I really like Bologna‘s Ferguson and his injury was a shame.”
Juventus’ strategies also depend on the next coach, provided that Massimiliano Allegri leaves.
“We’ve got to see whether Allegri stays. It’s April and we still don’t have certainties,” Capello concluded.
Juventus currently sit 3rd in the Serie A table, six points below Milan. Their next Serie A game is against Cagliari on Friday, April 19.
