Carabao Cup quarterfinals confirmed, headlined by Arsenal vs. Man City

Following a trio of games, the Carabao Cup quarterfinal draw produced a pair of Premier League showdowns. 

Arsenal will host 2018-19 top-flight champions Manchester City, while Everton will host Manchester United. Additionally, Stoke City will host Tottenham Hotspur, and Brentford will host Newcastle United. 

Tottenham toppled Chelsea on penalties on Tuesday. Newcastle squeaked by fourth-tier Newport County on penalties on Wednesday. That same day, City defeated Burnley 3-0, United beat Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0, and Everton crushed West Ham United 4-1. 

Ahead of Thursday's draw, Brentford downed Fulham 3-0, Stoke City beat Aston Villa 1-0, and Arsenal defeated Liverpool on penalties. 

The quarterfinal fixtures are scheduled to occur the week of Dec. 21. Exact dates will be confirmed at a later time.
