Celtic will seek answers from Rangers after projectiles were thrown at the dugout midway through the first half. The Scottish Champions left Ibrox with a point after a 3-3 draw, which leaves the title in Celtic’s hands with six games remaining.

Despite the decision to award the penalty against Fabio Silva being fiercely debated, the game was very entertaining for neutrals with six goals and lots of drama. However, the advert for Scottish Football was once again marred after Rangers fan(s) threw projectiles towards the Celtic bench with John Kennedy struck.

A Celtic spokesperson stated that they would be raising the issue with Rangers and understand that Police Scotland are investigating the incident.

“It is totally unacceptable that our staff have once again been targeted in this way.

“We will be raising our serious concerns with Rangers and we understand that the matter is currently being investigated by Police Scotland.”

This appears to be a theme for Celtic travelling to Ibrox, which resulted in the club rejecting tickets for the game amidst safety fears.

In April 2022, Joe Hart’s goalmouth had broken glass in it after a bottle was thrown into the area. In the same game, a Celtic member of staff was struck by a bottle, which required stitches, and left permanent disfigurement to the Celtic physio. Games at Ibrox have been marred with objects being thrown into the Celtic fans from the Ibrox fans but also players and staff being targeted.
