Charlotte FC acquired veteran forward Justin Meram in a trade with Real Salt Lake on Thursday night.

Real Salt Lake will receive $200,000 in guaranteed General Allocation Money, split across 2023 and 2024.

RSL could receive an additional $150,000 in GAM if certain performance objectives are met.

Meram, 34, will be joining his fifth MLS team since breaking into the league in 2011.

He recorded one assist in six games (two starts) this season with Real Salt Lake.

Meram has 51 goals and 52 assists in 334 MLS matches (230 starts) with the Columbus Crew, Orlando City SC, Atlanta United and Real Salt Lake.
