Not only are Chelsea looking to secure one or two transfer targets this summer, they also have a number of contract issues with their own players that they need to conclude.

And perhaps the biggest fights they have on lie away from the senior team, and that is securing a few contracts from some of the academies brightest stars.

Chelsea are also interested in signing Jack Grealish this summer, you can read the full story here.

The issue of Lewis Bate, Tino Livramento, and Dynel Simeu are on the cards, with all three contracts set to end soon.

According to Goal, Chelsea are fighting to secure new deals for all three of them, with things not looking ideal for Livramento and Simeu in particular.

All three players are very highly rated within the academy and Chelsea would very much like to keep all three. But they need convincing that there is a pathway into the first team before committing to longer deals, otherwise they will assess their options of gaining first team football elsewhere much sooner.
