There was another round of Champions League matches played out last night and as a result, Chelsea have now done something that Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United have not this season.

Arsenal were dumped out of The Champions League last night but Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich, which actually carries a lot of irony actually.

Tuchel won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, and it was Bayern Munich that Chelsea beat in the Champions League final to win it in 2012, those are the only two times that Chelsea have won the competition.

Arsenal are out, and this means that as of now at least, Chelsea have reached more semi-finals than Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United this season.

Is that even an achievement worth celebrating I hear you say?

Well, as all Chelsea fans will tell you, this season has been truly horrendous at times and an emotional rollercoaster. So we all take any little wins we can get right now, no matter how big or small said wins are.

Chelsea obviously got to The League Cup final but narrowly missed out, and on Saturday, they are facing Manchester City in The FA Cup semi finals, which is the second one they have reached this season.

For the season Chelsea have had, they could still reach their second domestic cup final which in the grand scheme of things is actually quite mad.

Mauricio Pochettino, the players, and the Chelsea owners have rightfully come under criticism this season and have been really poor at times. But they could still end this season on a high and also qualify for the European spot, albeit perhaps not The Champions League.

There’s been mixed emotions throughout this season, and I expect many more to come in these closing games!
