Chelsea have been linked to a German international this afternoon by a reliable source.

BILD journalist Christian Falk is reporting that Chelsea are interesting in signing Jonathan Tah.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea’s owner WANTS to sign Victor Osimhen and WANTS to bring in a new striker ASAP!

The 27-year-old centre back currently players for Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga and apparently has a release clause.

Tah also has a short contract (2025), and Falk claims they are looking at him as a potential replacement for Thiago Silva, who is largely expected to be playing his final season as a Chelsea player this season.

Tah has 20 caps for the Germany international team and he is carrying a bit of experience with him, which could be appealing for Chelsea.

But personally I can’t see this being much more than just agent chatter drumming up interest for his client, who looks like he wants a move to a new team pretty soon. I don’t see that being Chelsea though, I think we will have other priorities.
