Bayern Munich don’t see Sadio Mane as part of their future and are not expecting him to stay at the club beyond this summer, Sky Sports have reported.
Chelsea were strongly linked last week, with some sources saying he had already had preliminary talks with his agent.
We’re not quite sure how Mane fits in to a wing situation which has seen us spend serious money on a wealth of attackers – perhaps he’s seen as a potential striker?
But equally, given we’ve got Christopher Nkunku arriving this summer as a winger who can play as a striker, we’re not sure why we would double down.
But this ownership has shown themselves to be keen on a big name, and if Bayern are desperately trying to shed Mane at a cheap price and he’s keen to return to the Premier League, we can see it happening.
Whether or not we’re interested, we expect the rumours to only grow if Mane really is being pushed towards the exit.
