This is a Chelsea predicted lineup for their Premier League clash with Burnley as the competition returns after an international break. The Blues will be aiming to keep up their home form at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Burnley in Premier League Clash

How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently

Djordje Petrović has been the number one option in goals with Robert Sanchez being mainly a replacement in cup ties. Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella, Trevoh Chalobah, Axel Disasi, and Malo Gusto have been the mainstays in the back four with injuries limiting options.

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo have been the main defensive midfield pivot, Conor Gallagher moved back to pair up with the latter against Leicester City with Fernandez unavailable.

Gallagher, Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer, and Nicolas Jackson have been the main choices for the starting front four.

Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics

Mauricio Pochettino has remained largely tied to a 4-2-3-1 formation with a brief switch to a 3-5-2 against Brentford being his only recent tweak, we have also seen the team lineup in a 4-4-2 but usually in bigger games. They are on a run of four matches without a defeat, including three wins in that time.

One major issue has been the defence, the Blues have conceded at least two goals in their last four outings, they have also not kept a clean sheet since January 26, a run spanning 10 games across all competitions. Thankfully, they have found a goalscoring touch that has seen them fire their way to victories despite those defensive woes.

 Chelsea Injuries to Consider

The latest injury update from the club includes nine different names, including three new ones since their last outing. Chalobah is in partial team training so may feature in the squad but Carney Chukwuemeka and Sanchez have been added to the list and will be absent.

Long-term absentees Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia (now ruled out for the season), Reece James, Lesley Ugochukwu, and Christopher Nkunku are all sidelined.

Argentine Fernandez is not injured but returned late from international duty and played a lot of minutes so may not be fit to start.
