Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Manchester City in Premier League Clash

How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently

Djordje Petrović has been the starting goalkeeper since December and has established himself as a top stopper in the squad. The defence has been changed around due to injuries with Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell, and Malo Gusto lining out as the starting back four.

Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez have been the starting double pivot in the defensive midfield area. The attacking four has shifted with tactical tweaks with Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, and Conor Gallagher starting in any of the four attacking spots.

The striker spot has been switched between Palmer as the false nine, Jackson, and Nkunku.

Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics

Mauricio Pochettino has been stuck to his 4-2-3-1 setup that remains somewhat flexible, at times looking more akin to a 4-4-2 with a pressing duo up front, usually involving Gallagher. Results have been mixed with two wins, two defeats, and a draw in that time.

They have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last four outings which will no doubt weigh on the managers mind, especially after shipping for against both Liverpool and Wolves. They have managed to score goals too, with only one of their last five ending without them netting a single strike.

Chelsea Injuries to Consider

The latest injury update provided by Chelsea makes for grim reading for fans. There are two new names as both Thiago Silva and Carney Chukwuemeka have been added. In more positive news, Robert Sanchez is no longer on the updates meaning he is fit to return.

Regular names Marc Cucurella, Reece James, Lesley Ugochukwu, Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana, and Benoit Badiashile are also unavailable.
