You wait weeks for a bit of transfer news, then it all decides to come out on the day Chelsea play a match!

The Blues beat Bournemouth 2-1 in a pre-season friendly last night but before that, some surprise transfer news came out via transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

He reported that Chelsea were advancing in negotiations to sign Sevilla defender, Jules Kounde.

At the start there wasn’t too many details on the potential deal, just that Chelsea were prioritising signing the young France international.

Over night, Romano has provided another update and he says that Chelsea’s own Kurt Zouma could go the other way as part of the deal. There was also talk of Emerson Palmieri being part of the deal, but that has been debunked by Romano.

It also appears that Chelsea are working very hard and very quick to get this one over the line with more progression expected today.
