Erling Haaland has been announced as a new Manchester City player, joining the club this summer.

But he has been heavily linked with a number of other clubs looking to sign the Dortmund striker over the past few seasons, one of those was Chelsea. In fact, we had been seriously looking to try and sign him during the last couple of summers but opted for Timo Werner and then Romelu Lukaku instead.

Sources: Chelsea eyeing Benoît Badiashile and Edmund Tapsoba for defender reinforcements.

Remarkably though, ESPN are now reporting that Chelsea’s scouts actually raised concerns about whether Haaland’s style of play would be suited to the Premier League.

I know this report is not going to sit well with Chelsea fans, who are already very critical of Chelsea’s scouting and recruitment over the years, and understandably so.

I don’t think it helps either that neither of Werner or Lukaku have hardly been hits since joining the club!

I’m sure Haaland will soon prove he is suited to the Premier League.
