Chelsea star Raheem Sterling admits that belief got them through to the Champions League quarter finals.

Sterling, who scored the first in a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of their round of 16 clash, was delighted at progression.

He claimed after the game that everyone in the dressing room fully believed they could advance into the final eight on Tuesday night.

Kai Havertz scored from the spot to seal the win and progression for Chelsea.

It was a massive performance. We had to dig deep. We took our chances and recently we just haven't had the luck," Sterling stated post-game, per the club website.

Tonight, we felt it as a team, we knew we could do it. Kai [Havertz] did it for us in the end."
