Chelsea's Christian Pulisic leaves FA Cup final with hamstring injury

Chelsea suffered a major loss in the FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday.

American soccer star Christian Pulisic was injured in the second half of the match and needed to be helped off the field. The 21-year-old appeared to have suffered a hamstring injury and was taken out of the match for Pedro.

Pulisic scored a brilliant goal just five minutes into the game. After running into the box, Olivier Giroud provided a sneaky assist to the Pennsylvania native who potted the game's opening goal.

Pulisic made history with that goal, becoming the first U.S. men's international to score in an FA Cup final.

His injury is a big blow to Chelsea's lineup, as he's been their most important player on the attack since the season resumed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Chelsea's next game is Aug. 8 against Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League tie. Chelsea enters the match down 3-0 on aggregate and will see their season end if they don't advance.

There's been no update on Pulisic's status, but he'll have just a week to recover before one of Chelsea's most important matches of the season.
