Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk‘s ‘shocking’ miss against Liverpool, in the 51st minute of the match, featured as a mathematics question in an exam. Chelsea lost the match, 4-1, thus remaining in the bottom half of the table.

The match between Chelsea and Liverpool was one-sided for the table-toppers, with the home side firing four goals past the Blues. Talented Reds’ right-back Conor Bradley , filling in for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold, earned the player of the match with a remarkable display, contributing a goal and two assists. Christopher Nkunku scored the only goal for Chelsea, while Mudryk narrowly missed another scoring opportunity.

Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, who has not lived up to expectations in the Prem, disappointed once again after he failed to score a close-range goal against Liverpool. Malo Gusto‘s precise pass was a prime scoring opportunity, but Mudryk misfired, drawing mockery from fans.

Surprisingly, the 23-year-old’s blunder became part of a geometry question in a math exam, asking students to calculate the distance of Mudryk’s shot from the goalpost.

The match pushed Chelsea to the 11th position on the Premier League table, reducing their prospects of securing a spot in the top four. The team has accumulated 31 points from 24 matches so far.

Mykhailo Mudryk’s stats since arriving at Chelsea

Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk arrived at Chelsea for a massive fee of €100 million from Shakhtar Donetsk, after the Blues fought an intense transfer battle with London rival Arsenal, to acquire the player’s services. Let us take a look at the 23-year-old winger’s statistics since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

The Ukrainian forward scored his first competitive goal for Chelsea on his 24th appearance, opening the scoring in a 2-0 Premier League win against Fulham. Known for his acceleration and dribbling skills, Mudryk has failed to make a mark at Stamford Bridge, scoring just four goals and assisting two in 41 appearances for the club.

Moreover, Mudryk has been criticized for his lackluster performances, and fans and pundits have often urged manager Mauricio Pochettino to drop the player from the starting XI.
